This vet's policy is that you pre-pay for your pet's care. I do understand that they had difficulty collecting from some of the clients, not uncommon for any business. But they penalized even the one's that paid their bills. We personally have an experience where Dr. French told the elderly owners of a very old and dying cat, and beloved family pet that she could help save it, and the price was over $250.00 . (payment first, of course.) This couple always paid their bills at the time services were rendered and have impeccable credit. The cat needed to be euthenized two days later, of course for an additional charge. It was evident to everyone that this poor cat needed to have it's suffering ended. This vet felt that an enema would help it. (What???) Dr. French's characteristically rude disposition has been evident in more cases than this, and she has been noted to be unnecessarily rough with the animals.
Services should never be paid or expected in advance, unless both parties are in agreement (for anything!). If you love your pets, you need to avoid this place. The quality of the service provided is what you (the consumer) are paying for. We are not the only ones; they are other with serious complaints as well. Now that you have changed your payment policy, perhaps you should reflect the same in your mission statement!
