Johnson's Berry Farm, located in Upper Marlboro, MD, is a fantastic place to take the family for summer picking. The bushes are well cared for, no pesticides are used and the best of all: The Picking Is Easy! Beautiful, large, plump berries weigh down the limbs with rows and rows of bushes to choose from.
Beware of the pond with small children - it's up to you to keep your kids where they should be.
Hours vary from season to season, so it's best to call ahead, even on the day you're coming. Blueberries from mid/late June through July. Blackberries starting in mid-July. Great prices, too.
