I have been going to Johns since i was a kid. The food is great, when they get the order right. It seems when ever I order from there to have a delivery, the order is screwed up or something is missing. EVERYTIME!!! They need to train there employees better. Half of them are not friendly and some look like they are high, which is prob why the orders get screwed up. more

I have been going to johns as long as i can remember..I have noticed since the fire and the rebuilding their portion sizes seem to get smaller and smaller everytime we go there.I have always loved Johns but will not be going there anymore due to portion size and the cost has gone up sine they rebuilt.probably the best place around for this type of food now is Nicks in Saugus huge portions and resonable price.The food is excellent... more

I have not been to John's Roast Beef since Aug 08 but my niece that lives in Alaska presently came home to Lynn and it was of course her first stop and she said it is just as awesome as ever....I am actually heading to the NorthShore and plan to get my roast beef extra sauce and onion rings at least 4-5 times! In the 10 days I will be there. You must be from Lynn to truly appreciate the taste. Thanks! Nancy more

I agree with most of the comments written here. John's has good food, but the workers need to have on the job training as to how to smile, say hello, how are you today, and have a good day on your way out. Also, I think this place nickel & dimes you to death with $2.00 delivery fee, $1.00 fee for ordering through the internet, not to mention a tip on top of that and you're well on your way to being broke before you have even ordered your food, then you have to pay $.50 here $.50 there for your condiments and such. You can drive down the street to Kennedy's Fried Chicken (KFC) and get a whole meal of a cheeseburger, french fries, and a can of tonic all for just $3.50. They are the cheapest place in town, even cheaper than McDonald's. So, I say skip John's, save your money, and go to KFC's for your beef! more

I loved John's Roast Beef before it burnt down and now I love it even more. The place looks great and the food is even better. It is true that the staff is unpersonable but it is still the best place for fast food in the city of Lynn and I do not think they are less friendly than anywhere else. more

I have always been a big fan of John's Roast Beef - when John's burned down in July and I was visiting family in Lynn, I tried 4 different roast beef places and was not happy at all. .....John's is rebuilt now and looks different but Ernie is still making the BEST roast beef sandwich anywhere!! I have to visit Lynn,MA not just to visit my family but get my roast beef & onion rings! I can't wait to have another...I stayed in Lynn for 10 days and had John's Roast Beef 7 days out of the 10 - My first stop will be Johns Roast Beef when I visit again! Thank you Ernie for rebuilding and keeping it PERFECT! more

John's has good food, but I'm not a fan of the beef. Its practically still mooing. The service is aweful. The staff has no social skills, and they are the slowest place around. But its close to home so I still go there. more

i come here to get the roast beef,they alway have the best beef in town. the staff does't have much of a personality. i like to walk into a place where you can feel at home, but coming here i dont get that. even though the service isn't great i keep coming back for the great food. more

John's Roast Beef has the best beef sandwhichs and beef subs around. I have been getting food from them for 15 years +. They have delicious beef, appetizers and shakes. Prices are decent. Their sauce is spicy and addicting! There is a small amount of table space there to dine in or you can carry out. Wished they delivered! more
