I had a large wine stain that I mostly pulled up with soap and water but with too much water I got a long portion of the pad soaked. After a couple days of wetness and serious smell I got the fan out to dry the carpet. The pad underneath though wasn't dry for days and the smell was bad, the spores of mildew causing tightness in breathing moved me to the couch which all lead me to find John's Carpet Repair. John showed up two days after I called to quickly pull back the carpet to see a dry pad but some mildew growing and a little bit of smell left in the pad. Within an hour he had replaced a large area affected with new pad, sprayed some mildew killing enzyme and refasten the carpet down all within an hour. John has a very disarming personality, pure class attitude and workmanship, and was an absolute joy to hire. Two days later I have no smell, I can breath easy without problems of smell or mildew and I highly recommend John's Carpet Repair for any job you have. From a very satisfied customer. more

When our cats and visiting cats managed to tear up a large section of carpet in a doorway, I called on John for a second time. Again, his response was quick in returning my call, he was extremely accommodating in coming very early in the morning to enable me to get to work on time and his repair was FANTASTIC. I defy anyone to find the repair. And, once again, his charge of a minimum of one hour for $95 was more than fair. I cannot recommend this gentleman highly enough. I purchased a home with the intent of renting it and there was a foot and a half by one inch rip in the middle of the entry way of what was otherwise a perfectly good carpet. John came and repair it using i little piece of carpet from one of the closets and I can't even tell where the rip used to be. He was prompt and very resonably prices and he saved me the $2000-$3000 dollars it would have cost to replace all of the carpet. more

We needed to have our carpet tacked down again after pulling it up due to water damage. Most pleasant person to work with and he did a wonderful job. He even fixed a little area that our bunny nibbled on when the carpet was pulled up He replaced pad where needed and redid a few seams that I had to rip apart during the flooding issue. What a deal! I had removed a built-in bookcase from a basement room, which left a 12-inch strip of exposed concrete slab that ran a full 8 feet across the back wall. The carpet in the rest of the room was brand new and I really did not want to replace it. John was able to take carpet from one of the closets and fill this very large and unsightly gap, at a fraction of the cost of recarpeting the room. There is no visible seam at all and the room looks great. John was on time, professional, tidy, and completed the job in the estimated time for the estimated cost. Highly recommended. more

I had to replace a 15 x 9 in carpet because I had managed to burn it with an incense stick and John did a perfect job. He also came up with a great idea to come up with some spare from a corner in the closet under some shelf to minimize the appearance difference. would recommend him anytime. more

One day I was working on a craft project in my living room that involved a drill. As careful as I was, I drilled into my carpet and ended up winding up a 3 inch x 3 inch square of carpet around the drill bit - essentially gouging a huge hole in my carpet. Oh NO!! After some extensive searching, I found a very unique, but very cool service called "John's Carpet Repair". This guy (John) came out and transplanted a square of carpet from the closet to the square in the middle of the living room. A very skilled operation, John carefully but quickly and skillfully mended in a new piece of carpet. Within a week, the color difference was indetectable and the "gotcha" was gone. I couldn't find anyone else who could do this - so if you ever screw your carpet up, you gotta call John. This repair took him about 30 minutes and about $70 - well worth it. Amazing! more
