Johnny's BBQ should be competing in some of the regional cook offs because this is some outstanding BBQ. While I probably like Full Moon in Birmingham better, Johnny's sauces are some of the best I have ever had (if you like a sweet or white sauce)\r \r The BBQ is full of flavor and ranks right up there with Big Bob Gibson who does compete and wins most of the awards.\r \r Their stuffed potatoes are Huge!!! I would highly recommend taking the drive off I-65 east on exit 308 to Johnny's BBQ if you are around Cullman Alabama. This ranks right up there with the best in Alabama for BBQ. more

Best BBQ 6/22/2009

I enjoy Johnny's BBQ, and totally disagree with Joe, but I don't agree with Jeff either. While Johnny's is good. Top hat is perfection! I have eaten at pigstand and Big Bob Gibson's as well. If you say Big Bob only serves ketchup, just look at the shelves in the grocery store. Their sauce is marketed nation wide. more

I don't know where Mr. Joe was eating, but it sure wasn't Johnny's. There are a lot worse bbq places. Trust me, Johnny's is the best I have ate so far. If you want to try bad barbeque, eat top hat, pigstand in hartselle, or big bob gibson in decatur. If you say any of them are better, you need to get your head checked. Just my opinion. To me, the sauce makes a lot for the barbeque. those other guys just serve ketchup. more

My friend and I noticed a sign on I65 proclaiming Johnny's to have been voted Best BBQ in Cullman for 10 years in a row. We are BBQ fanatics, so we just had to check it out. I must say it was the worst BBQ I have ever eaten!! The meat looked like it had been run through a grinder. The beans came straight out of a Campbells can.\r I don't know who votes for this garbage, but they have no clue as to what good BBQ tastes like. The voters must have been family members of the owners. more

Breastfeeding not allowed at this restaurant! 3/16/2007

Do NOT give this place your business!! A local mom was asked to cover herself while feeding her child at the breast! In Alabama, the law says we have the right to feed our children ANYWHERE! We dont ask other people in the restaurant to cover their head as they are eating!! Pros: IT has a front door Cons: Wait staff is rude, prices are outrageous, food was dry! more
