Too smoky... Bar smoke filters to dining area. Needs exhaust badly. See you in June 2010 when the smokefree law sets in.

Best place to eat love it tell all my friends. Love the filet soup and salad potatoes great friendly waitstaff. Clean restrooms. Must have escargot and crab cakes. Friend had prime rib. Let me tell you melted in his mouth great place to eat and drink. relaxing dont feel rushed. been to other places and waited 20 minutes for waitress to even take our drink order. Who needs two for one or coupons I dont. If i want a great meal Johnny Manhattens is my place!!!!!!! more

Not the place for a fish fry. 9/26/2011

We went for the Friday fish fry. We ordered a couple of drinks, the crab cakes and two fish fries. The server brings the drinks with the salad selections. Before we could taste the salads or sip our drinks another server dropped off the fish plates. Asked where the crab cakes were; they're coming. Low and below the answer for 'do the apps always come after the entrees' was 'its Friday'. The fish tasted like it was prepared earlier and warmed up. The crab cakes when they came were salty and not very good. So if you are into a RUSH job of getting you in and out with so so food by all means go there. We're not. Lots of good Fish Fry places out there so why waste your good hard earned money. more

If you like steak, you will love Johnny Manhattans 3/22/2011

We went on a Saturday night and the drive there was beautiful. It is a quaint little steak house in the Holy Hill area which is warm and inviting and cozy. Our waitress was exceptional and had us laughing all through dinner and all the way home. The dinner was perfectly prepared from the french onion soup, to the salad, to the best flavored steak one could imagine. One of our group had the baby back ribs which were so tender they fell off the bone. The place was packed so I would recommend making a reservation and then get ready for one of the best meals that you have ever had. The dress is casual and everything about the evening was classy but not pretentious. If you enjoy exceptional food and a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, this is the place for you. We will all be back - sooner than later. more

1st off the owner was VERY friendly w/my date...would not even acknowledge me....HELLO...there are two of us! (rude) The salad average, crabcakes...below average, the crab mushroom soup...my advice....pass on this, it was more of a ""DIP"" than soup....mind you i do not like watered down soup, but this was not soup....would be great as an appetizer served w/crackers. We both agreed that the mashed potatoes were more of something you'd get from an ""Applebee's"" more

OMG Ate there for the first time about 6 months ago and was very impressed with the food and the service was fantastic. Can't get a better steak anywhere. Priced right.........including soup & salad. We keep going back,once a week, we love it, recommend it to everyone. Pros: Great Steaks Cons: Parking occassionally more

You won't leave hungry. 11/22/2008

We've been there several times and have always had a great meal. Friday nights can be very busy so we pass on that evening. My husband always orders the steaks and they're de-lish. Bar is a bit smokey for me. more

not so Manhattan Johnny!! 11/10/2008

I was recently in Hubertus and stumbled across this gem. Gem not so much. We were greeted by the hostess who seemed frazzled. The atmosphere was of a beat down supper club. My gut told me to walk out however, we stayed. Big mistake we both had the Friday night fish fry. It tasted like the fish was fried hours prior then reheated in the microwave. The server was friendly. The kicker was when it came time to pay we were told by the server that we could't pay on separate charges. That the owner did not allow this. Come to find out the owner was the ""frazzeled"" hostess. Unbelievable! Next time I will go with my gut feeling and run! Pros: Holy Hill is close by. more

MY HUSBAND TOOK ME OUT FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY, GREAT SERVICE, FRIENDLY, NICE ATMOSPHERE AND GREAT FOOD. WE PLAN ON COMING BACK SOON! WE HAVE ALSO RECOMMENDED IT TO ALOT OF PEOPLE SINCE WE ATE THERE. I HAVE NEVER DONE A REVIEW, BUT THIS PLACE IS WORTH THE TIME. more

Great customer service 7/15/2006

My husband and I have been dining at Johnny's for five years. We have visited many other restaurants in the Milwaukee and also the Washington county area. NO ONE compares! Their food is OUTSTANDING! Johnny and Nancy couldn't be better hosts & their staff is always friendly and very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. You will NOT be dissapointed! We Love Johnny Manhattan's !! more

Johnny Manhattan's is everything you're looking for in a fine dining restaurant. The owners John and Nancy walk around the whole place, stopping to talk to many customers, making sure everyone's enjoying themselves. I felt like family at Johnny's and their steaks are OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend this place. more
