johnny's was terrific! they had many choices and the service was great! my family whole family loved it and will be back a.s.a.p! i personally loves the lasanga! it was nice and warm ! crispy on the outside and gooy in the middle! just the way i like it! and for desert i got teramasu and it was spectacular! the best i ever had! my mom and dad shared a chicken parmasan and they absolutley loved it! our waitress was such a nice lady and gave us great suggestions! . im looking forward to returning and bringing lots of friends! The sevice was promt; the food delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Austin area. I especially enjoyed the wine selection. Pros: Great Value, Wonderful Service, Nice Atmosphere more

Great Value $ 8/21/2002

It's a great place for all occasions and they don't whimp out on the taste. My favorite is the Spicy Shrimp and Chicken. They serve big portions with bold flavors. My wife likes to eat lighter and she really enjoys the Angel Hair with Artichokes or the Lemon Rosemary Chicken. Our daughters like the variety... especially the cheese pizza and Italian sodas. My only complaint is that we never save room for their ""homemade"" Tiramisu so we always have to take some home with us. They do get busy on the weekends so we try to go for during the week or for lunch. Pros: Taste, Variety, Consistency Cons: Busy, Wait on Weekends more

Personally I go because the Chicken Marsala is the tastiest anywhere and the Blackberry Italian Sodas are the best! The service is ALWAYS good and the prices can't be beat! If I want to do a nice dinner with my husband or a quick casual meal with the kids, Johnny Carino's is our first choice! Pros: good food, good service, good prices more

New favorite 8/15/2002

We really like Johnny Carino's. The food is great and prices are much better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. We love the lasagna & skilletini, but my favorite is the Tirimisu (sp?). I think they make it fresh there at the restaurant - it is awesome. They changed the bread and we like it better. The kids menu is great too. Lots for them to choose from. In fact, they even brough my 1 yr. old Nilla wafers! Pretty cool. It is my favorite Italian restaurant by far. Pros: food, atmosphere, value Cons: only 2 in Austin more

I love JC's. They give you excellent food and it is not so expensive. Carmelo's SUCKS in my opinion, compared to Johnny Carino's. I always get great service and leave very satisfied!!!!!! more
