John Henry's World Of Magic

I recently saw John Henry perform his Magic Show for the second time. I had previously attended a restaurant function where he had performed and he was fabulous. I was excited to know he was performing at a childs birthday party I was attending.The children as well as the adults totally enjoyed every part of the magic show. He drew the children into the magic tricks by having some of them participate in the magic. His rapport with the audience especially the children was fun filled. It was a delight to watch the children of all ages react with laughter to John Henry and His Magic. Each child left the show smiling with a a unique baloon creation . I would recomend him for any childs party. more

I saw John Henry perform for a huge audience of children and he was awesome! The magic was great and everyone had fun, even the adults. We all were laughing. He even looks like a Wizard. more

My 1 1/2 yr old son and I were a guest at a First Communion party today, where John Henry's World of Magic performed. He put a white line of tape to keep the audience on the other side while he made balloon animals. The children sat behind the line and watched him make a few balloon animals. My son who is 1 1/2 had the attention span of about 10 minutes and was curious to go see what was behind the along the wall behind the magician. He did not disturb the magician, aside from, John Henry pretending to kick my son in the behind while he walked back toward the children sitting. I was further back in the crowd and couldn't get closer to him for a couple of minutes. Once I made it to the front of the line John Henry asked, ""Is that your child""? I responded, ""Yes"". He then in front of all the guests said, ""Well you better get better control over that child"". There was no smile or any joke...Just that I better have better control over my child. Then, later during the ""so called show"" he had the children make THEIR own balloon animals, even after they asked for HIS HELP to make them. He was rude and I would never hire him and caution other parents not to!! Someone who is in the business of entertaining children should be AWARE that not all children are 100% attentive 100% of the time. You cannot accept excellence from a 1 1/2 yr old. Maybe if you're too irritated to entertain children you should QUIT and let those who ENJOY entertaining children and understand that children will not always do what you want them to. Very dissapointed in the embarrassment and in the rudeness of John Henry!! more
