This place is far and away the best restaurant in Monroeville! I love love love it and if you are really willing to throw calorie counting out the window for the night, then have the lousiana smothered fried chicken. This stuff is one hot mess but I practically lick the plate every time!!! Pros: GREAT FOOD, parking, service, everything!!! more

    John Harvard's roster consists of a handful of mostly ales, with a few seasonal and specialty beers thrown in, including one that's cask conditioned and served by a hand pump. Of special note is the Russian Imperial Stout, which is served in 10 ounce glasses only, presumably at the behest of the insurance company due to its extremely addicting taste and 12 percent alcohol content.

    The Everything Else
    But at John Harvard's--a nation-wide chain with 13 locations that appears to have taken a little more than a casual glance at Samuel Adams' play book--it's about more than just beer. The large and diverse menu of "honest food" lives up to the level of quality set by the beer. The bar also offers the full range of liquors, as well as hard cider.
