Not bad for the bucks 8/17/2009

Spacious if noisy, the food is generally above average, though serving sizes have been reduced. Still more than most of us need so who's complaining? Service tends to be cheerful and quick. Good beer selection and don't forget to check out the stained glass windows. more

Five Stars 12/29/2005

I don't really know why anyone would give this place less than 4 stars... and it truly deserves five. The in house brewed beers are some of the best I've had, and the food is worthy of a visit, even for someone who isn't' a beer drinker. Even the bread they start you off with is fantastic, and the meal only gets better with every bite. ANytime someone comes in from out of town I take them into Cambridge to eat at John Harvard's. more

Pretty Good Pub Food 9/6/2005

I really enjoy John Harvard's beer, but the food is pretty good too. It's pretty much typical pub food that has some twists. Definitely a fun hang out type of place! more

Come for the beer, stay for the food 8/9/2005

In a Brew House one expect the beer to outshine the food. John Harvard's is the exception to this rule. The food is just as amazing as the in house brews. The steak is tender and juicy, the fish is tender and flaky, the spinach and artichoke dip is rich and the perfect blend of cheeses. The menu ranges from the standard apps to fresh salads to pizzas to burgers to steaks to seafood. There is a taste for every pallete. And the variety of brews will appease those who like anything on the range of light to dark beers. more
