I was first introduced and used John Casablancas in 1999. I had brought my daughter to learn how to apply proper makeup at age 13, handle job interviews, dress appropriately for them, confidence and self esteem. Quality of life....fast forward to Winter 2015 my son now 16 has enjoyed learning about the fashion world, photography, public confidence and has always had great discipline and respect for others. New friendships have formed. The staff is so friendly and helpful. My youngest daughter started classes at JC when she was 10. I vividly remember (gently) grilling our Admissions Rep as I assumed there was a ""catch"" or ""scam"". I was wrong. Due to this program my daughter's self-confidence went through the roof (quite a gift to give a 10 year old). There were never any promises made, just a chance to grow and learn with great support along the way. Sometimes she was right for a part, other times not - no big deal. She landed some paid gigs early on, did some free work for the experience (she always had a good time!) and even appeared as an extra in a Dustin Hoffman/Kathy Bates movie! She is now 13 and recently shot a commercial for Six Flags New England's Superman VR ride! We can't say enough good about the staff at JC - they are caring, supportive and available when needed. more

John Casablanca's Modeling and Acting Agency has pushed my modeling career so far ever since I graduated the agency in 2013. With the help of all the staff, instructors, and of course the president Tina herself; has most certainly enhanced my positive attitude in the modeling industry. If I didn't learn how to get on a runway properly, put on makeup accordingly, or know how to treat my body, I don't know where I would be today. Without this agency I wouldn't have worked with over hundreds of local markets or photographers here in CT. There is no way that nobody has not put a bad review of this agency. This agency is definitely out for the buck. Is there people that get modeling jobs? Yes, the same people all the time. They are suppose to be an agent to everyone that has gone there. They're not. I know and people I know and have met that have gone there know. They will tell you before you sign up everything you want to hear even if they think you're not going to get any work. They're a business it's like a car dealership they will do anything to get the sale. Be careful before you go there and please keep my review in mind. Remember anyone can write a review. Even employees. Look around to see if there is other agencies first and see what they have to say. The glitz and glamour inside is just that. My daugther is a model for JC and has been with the company for alittle over a year. She has already done two commericals working for the Childrens Place and CEA. She has also done work for the crystal mall modeling for Gap Kids, Old Navy and Payless Shoes. With the help of Tina and the rest of the JC staff my daugther continues to grow her resume nicely. My son has been with JC for almost 2 years . It has been an amazing experience. In that time he has done print work for Bobs Stores, in a book for National Geographic, shot a commercial, and done a promotional video. The staff is always so helpful and polite. I am a practicing attorney who has within the last couple of years started modeling and acting with John Casablancas. My experience with them has been terrific to say the least. What I appreciate the most was the honesty of the President when I first met with her, and every time thereafter. She made no promises and educated me on how the industry works. It is easy for individuals to become disgruntled or upset when jobs do not come their way. It is also easy for individuals to sit back and show no interest in working expecting this industry to be a success over night type of thing. Any agent is going to look for the model / actor who they know they can rely upon to be professional and effective at the job. The only way this can be accomplished is by being proactive as a model/actor and showing you are ready, willing and able to work. I have also enrolled my 5 year old within the agency and she has been extremely excited and has had an overall wonderful experience. It has boosted her confidence and helped her come out of her shell. This agency has allowed me a second stream of income to support my family, something I will always be grateful for. It was two years into high school, and I was depressed as I continued to struggle through my parents’ recent divorce, then the death of my father, then recent news of my mother developing breast cancer. It was two years into high school, and my teachers had already given up on me a long time ago.\r But, at that moment when everything seemed at its worst, I discovered John Casablancas. I came in for that interview, and although to most people it may not seem like a big deal to be accepted into the JC School, it changed my life within just a few months. I had been shy before being accepted, but after I was able to walk the runway in front of a crowd of strangers. It was within those few months that I could take my mind off of the problems of daily life for a couple hours.\r The teachers at JC not only were absolutely amazing to work with, but there was not one there who would give up on a student. It was the teachers at the agency during the health courses who kept me out of hanging out with the wrong people. They talked about smoking, and drugs in the classes. And, because of that, when I was offered substances on the buses, I could say “no.”\r By graduation from the agency my schoolwork had even changed. I could not remember the last time I had an “A” on a progress report, and now I had them littered across my report cards. The agency teachers pushed me to be better. And, by being pushed to be better, I realized that nothing comes from just sitting around. Just by keeping me busy during the weekend, JC kept me from sitting at home doing nothing. It kept me moving, giving me motivation in school as well.\r Without joining the agency, I would never have been able to overcome the obstacles presented in front of me. Saying the agency is amazing is an understatement. Everyone at the agency is always helpful, and the nicest people you could ever meet! Just being able to be involved by coming in once a month for model meetings makes the agency feel like a big family.\r My friends ask me how could I love working during the weekend. Absolutely, Positively a Wonderful Business and Experience for all. Both my kids have been with John Casablance for nearly 2 years and have just recently started to really want to get into the whole experience. So far, they have done some great jobs with some awesome people. They are having so much fun that it really doesn't seem like "work" to them. The agency is wonderful and Tina is absolutely fantastic and so on top of her job. She is super efficient and easy to work with that it makes it a dream for the kids and especially me as a parent to deal with someone who knows what she is doing and takes so much pride in her work.
