Great homemade BBQ 8/23/2006

Somehow we missed out on Joe's until just over a month ago. We actually did a web search for BBQ in Gilbert and read some pretty good things about the place. We enjoyed it so much! On the first visit I had the chicken breast and my husband had a sampler plate. The meat has a yummy smoked flavor. I probably enjoyed their 'sides' more than anything...mac & cheese, potato salad, and the beans are all terrific! (cookies are good too!) My husband and one son really like their homemade root beer too! The actual restaurant is in an old grocery store (I believe it was Safeway). There are picnic tables to eat at, and you can either eat inside or outside. As an added bonus, you get your food free on your birthday! more

Great BBQ and Great Atmosphere 4/16/2006

There is just more than BBQ here!!! Even if you don't like BBQ here you can find something. Baked potatoes, Homemade Sides, and Homemade are only part of the extras that make pecan smoked Pork and Chicken and Ribs so good! The Real John Deer Tractor that greets the diners at the restaurant is also impressive. Most Dishes are less than $10 more

Yummy BBQ 3/24/2006

Joe's BBQ is my husband's favorite BBQ spot. It is great food at a very reasonable price. I am not much of a BBQ fan, but they have a large stuffed baked potatoes and other side dishes that are delicious and filling. There is plenty of space to eat either inside or outside on picnic tables. Also, they have a take out window on the side of the restaurant if you want to get some food quick (can also call ahead). Also, on your birthday you get your entire meal (bbq sandwich, side, drink & dessert) FREE, you just need to show your id. We went for my husbands last birthday and it cost $6 total for the three of us! more

Stuffed potatoes can't be beat! 8/31/2005

Joes BBQ is a place where I always take any visiting out of town guests for a night out. They have a fun southwestern atmosphere and amazing BBQ. I have never had something there I didn't like and have always been impressed with their quality of meat. They also have homemade root beer that it GREAT and goes perfectly with any BBQ meal! more

Best BBQ Place in Town 8/3/2005

I'm a huge fan of Joe's bbq. They smoke all of their meet over pecan wood and it gives it a very unique distinct flavor. They have any type of bbq meat that you could want and also offer a wide selection of sides. Their homemade rootbeer is outstanding as well as their lemon cake. If you go on your birthday they will give you a completely free meal - so that is another bonus! And I love their sauce so much that I buy their bottles to take home and use. more
