Joe's Great American Bar

Stopped by Joe's on my way to the airport last friday night. The place was rockin, with some of the best country music in the valley. The lady behind the bar was indeed the quickest bar keep I have ever seen. She was working...and had a great personality to go along with her good work ethics. went in for one, but as quick as she was, we stayed for three, thats two drinks we didn't have to have at the airport!!! We jotted down the myspace address, and were shocked at how it resembled a dating blog!!!! Does the myspace person really think people care how old she or he is, and what their Zodiac sign is??? No we just want good, friendly service. Although th myspace page was informative, it was not what I would of expected to see, after being there. I think the owners should have a look, if in fact they didn't do it themselves. As you scroll down the page it tends to get kind of raunchy, but i assure you the place is not raunchy.\r the blond lady, and the girl with the flower in her hair, were a great team to watch work. OMG!!! this site is kind of confusing, i think i pressed publish, on somthing that is already out there!!! if, in fact, I did...sorry. \r now, what i'm here for, Basically, i, and my friends and family (i.e.,)my wife as family, really like the thursday and friday night crew. all of them, from kitchen to wait staff/bartenders, compliment each other, it is by far the best working team i've been around, in all of my years. they all cover each other. they can be slammed, but we, as the customer, never really know, because that crew has some special bond. all for 1, and 1 for all. ya know, makes you happy to be there.\r I must tell you, that those thursdays and fridays, when your ""A"" team isn't there, it is not the same.\r yes, the staff is good, but, they aren't the ""A"" team. please...for all of us fans of thur & fri night staff, bring them back, PLEASE!!!!! Went in for the first time this past friday night,and had a wonderful time, the band was really good, not many bodies in there early, then by 11:30-12:00, WOW the place was loaded with bodies. I totally enjoyed myself, and will be back. The girl behind the bar, forgot her name,was so nice,,and fast,and knew how to make a mean sidecar. She introduced herself, and said""first time here?...Welcome to Joe's"" and by the end of the night bought me a drink welcoming me to the place, I will be back, that kind of hospitallity is so appreciated. In a world where every one is in a hurry, the fact that a busy bartender took the time to welcome me and make me (a newby) feel comfortable will be well rewarding for joe's, as I will pass this cozy, fun place on to all those I know. this club is a diamond in the rough!!! i happened upon this place on a Saturday night, i was a bit leary when i approached the door, and found out there was a $15.00 cover charge, but the woman @ the door assured me it would be well worth it, or i could leave, and she'd refund my money...so i went in. She was right, some of the best entertainment i have ever seen, what a wonderful suprise. i made my way through the sea of people, to be greeted by a very bubbly blond bartender, and by the way i have never seen a better bartender in my life, and i'm no kid. for a minute, i didn't know how she was doing it all alone, then the band went on break, and a waitress came off the dance floor, behind the bar to help with glasses, frankly i was relieved for the bartender!!! i had on of the best plate of wings in my life, and the bartender made me feel at home. i went back on sunday night, and she (denise) was behind the bar,and i couldn't believe she remembered what i drank, and my name. NOW THATS GOOD!!! overall i will be back, i would change one thing, do not allow the staffers to dance, smoke, etc...when it's busy, if you didn't have an ace behind the bar, another wouldn't of been able to handle it.\r overall it was wonderful, i can't wait for the weekend, so i can return Pros: the best bartender i have ever seen Cons: wait staff on dance floor while it was busy more

I am responding to the individial who wrote a review about Joe's 5/27.\r Joe's bar is brand new. Bought March of 2005. Gutted out completely and rebuilt with all new decor and equipment. It is not in a strip mall either. Wrong again! The beer is icy cold and the food is great. As for Joey the bartender, they don't come any better than him. He is friendly and fast and our customers love him. We have entertainment every night of the week. Tuesdays are swing night. Most of these people are not big drinkers and that is really OK. But in order to keep a business open, there is a 2 drink minimum. There is no cover charge so people should at least do this without an argument. It is not ok to frequent an establishment and spend nothing. If everyone did this, the bar would not survive. Check out our website to see out entertainment calander. Come see for yourselves. I tried to like this place, twice......Dumpy Strip Mall bar, with decor from 1982. Local drunkards, and moderately attractive females haunt this dive. The food comes out of deep fry or a microwave and the beer was flat and luke warm. The bar boy Joe (Napoleon). He was complaining out loud about tips or lack there of, instead of serving customers. Joe Joe never considering if he boned up his bartending/people skills, he might get better tips or a job in a real bar. Actually watched him pick a fight with a customer (threatening to k1ll one of them, but then calling the cops as his hands trembled). NOT the relaxing/fun environment one pays for when they go out.
