Joe Tucker Park

I've never been to Joe Tucker park where my daughter didn't have a good time. She loves walking around the lake and feeding the geese and ducks. The playground equipment by the ball park is nice but the rocks make it hard for my 1 year old to walk on. However, the new boundless playground behind the ball park is amazing and my daughter loves to go there and play for an hour or so. The equipment is great for toddlers as well as older children. The swings are amazing and I would love to have them at my house in adult size! My daughter also likes the sand box and water table. I think one of the best things about this playground though is the astroturf. It's great when my daughter falls because she doesn't get hurt. She just gets up and goes. more

I have been to this park a few times for my child's softball games. The ballpark part is rather dated and the concession stand is pretty raggedy and the bathroom facility is terrible to say the least but the walking trail is very very nice and the lake is pleasing and relaxing to walk around. The road around the lake is bumpy and could stand to be resurfaced and widened. I do recommend the walking track around the lake. This is a well kept secret in Helena and is very nice to go to but could stand some updating. more
