Be wary of humiliation tactics 3/29/2008

The staff at Joe Dumar's Fieldhouse has a habit of singling out members during games and events and demanding payments. I'm not sure if this is a strategy or just poor taste, but I've seen it happen to another family in the past and today it happened to me. A staff member stopped my son as he took the court for his team basketball game and asked that he point out his parents. After he did the staff member singled out my wife and demanded payment of a late fee that we were not aware of. Maybe the Fieldhouse has had problems collecting fees and this is an effective approach, but I for one would have appreciated a simple phone call instead. more

Can't go wrong with Joe Dumars 6/21/2006

We were invited here by friends and were very impressed with the facilities- soccer, baseball, basketball- you name it, they have it! They offer a great variety of camps for kids that keep them active and learning. Their prices are a bit on the higher side but the facilities are soo worth it! more

Good b-ball courts 11/2/2005

We have had a lot of fun playing basketball at Joe Dumars. The corts are very nice- busy- but nice. The locker rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is helpful and friendly. more

Joe Dumars for Sports & Fun 9/13/2005

Joe Dumars Fieldhouse offers so much for children and adults. My two sons have both taken several of the Joe Dumars sports camps for kids. They offer Pee Wee All Sports for children under 7, soccer camps for all ages, basketball camps, hockey, and more. There are also adult leagues for different sports. In addition to the regular sports, there is an arcade and play area featuring miniature golf, wall rock climbing, laser tag, video games and more. There are the usual games where you win tickets you turn in for prizes. And of course there is a restaurant/bar. I haven't eaten there, but they provide lunches to the kids during all day camps, and my son enjoyed the typical kids' food they were given. The staff and coaches for the younger kids's leagues are fantastic! They remember my children's names a year later, and were very enthusiastic and good with the kids. Excellant for all sports and games 6/8/2005

Dumars is the best roller hockey facility in Metro Detroit. Quality staff and facilities in a clean environment with showers, good restaurant and bar. Basketball facilities are also in great shape. Also includes a large arcade and many other activities. All night parties and party rooms available. The facility provides many activities and amenities for a very enjoyable experience. more
