Never again 10/25/2010

$11.00 and change for 5 gallon bottle of water. I shop at Caputos at least 3 times a week. I will never set foot in that store again. I bought a 5 gallon bottle of water. Change was made incorrectly and I did not notice until I got home. I went back to the store and they refused to give me my change. $5.00 has ruiined my relationship with Caputos in Palatine. Charlie was a very rude and obnoxious manager. Said he did not care what i have in my wallet, people drop mopney all the tiem, and then he says i would just give you the $5.00, do you think I care about $5.00? apprently it does. they said the drawer came out ok, so what? The girl could have pocketed it for all I know. what a shame. I really did like this store. but remember the customer is wrong at Caputos in Palatine. more

Horrible Judy. DON't TRY it again. Even the parking lot is dangerous. 11/9/2007

I stopped by last night about 6pm with 1.1 pounds of bad veal loin chops I bought for my father the night before. Badly graded $11.99, badly cut; they should have NEVER been sold and the packaging hid the gristle and bad cut. "Charley" didn't even look at them, just said the bones were "heavy", (like I've never bought veal chops before there). Customer satisfaction? Not, BAD parking, BADly lit, dangerous. SAVE yourself. Go somewhere else. God Bless. WHAT happened to YOU, at least in Des Plaines I didn't want to take a shower after walking in your store? more

This grocery store is great. They offer fruits, vegetable and meats both deli and regular at discount prices. They are a very busy store but are always willing to accomondate your special requests. They also offer the regular grocery store items. It's a mom and pop type of grocery store that is a nice change to the chain stores. more

Love, love, love, love, love 3/28/2006

One of the things that we missed the most when we moved was Caputo's. I cannot tell you how thrilled we all were when we found out the Caputo's was opening a store in Palatine, and a big one to boot! Everything about this store is great, the fresh fruits and vegetables, the variety of meats their deli counter cannot be beat by ANY store in the area and their bakery!!!! I can't say enough ~ you have to try it. You'll be shopping there all the time too! more
