This place has been around 20 years, for good reason, but its even better now. New menu - same reasonable prices but fewer and better selections; new look - warm welcoming bar space cut down, but warm, welcoming dining area expanded with more of the old-style church pew booths for privacy and comfort. The best thing is the food, served fresh and hot, and that's a change from before. Great marinara and bolognese sauces for the bubbly baked lasagna and casalinga. Oodles of garlic for the chicken capellini trattoria, fresh vegetables and bread, etc. The table next to ours had the only steak dish on the menu and was raving about it. Very local, very homey, but top notch too. Reasonably priced wine list and friendly, attentive service. The old take out area is still there too, but I recommend a relaxing sit-down inside for full enjoyment of what this place offers.
Pros: fresh, hot, homestyle food; neighborhood locale; attentive servers
Cons: redesign of the bar area needs some finishing touches
