Bought a car from this dealer. Sales associate does not know a thing. Asked me for my SSN, I told him I would pay in cash. He just stared and looked at me, looking really dumb. I tried to help him out a bit because I pitied the guy. I asked him if it was a ""soft hit"" he obviously did know know what a ""soft hit"" was, but was just eager to make a sale.
Came to the office of Jamie Daly, she showed me a copy of my credit report. I complained why she pulled up my credit report. She said is was required by ""law"". I asked her, if that was needed even if I was not taking out a loan. She said, it was required by ""law"". She even cited some kind of new law under Bush or something like that. Gave her my check. After several days, I called Jamie Daly and asked her not to deposit the check yet, because we had to close that account or something like that. She said that was fine and she just asked me to re-issue a new check.
Then fast forward several months later I complained their sales practices to the BBB in SLC. Ms. Jamie Daly had a totally different story from when we were sitting at her office. She said that my payment was late anyway so that was considered extending credit. If you talk to a normal person one day and she tells you everything is fine and dandy and to just re-issue a new check. And then the next day she turns into a monster, she tells you that you paid late anyway and that is considered extending credit. Then this dealer is not worth the headache and inconvenience. Her rebuttal to the the BBB is that she looked at my file and she saw my credit application. THAT IS WHAT I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT! The sales practice of having a customer sign a credit application when that customer is paying in cash! How do they do that? That is pretty sneaky, I must admit. If this was a loan, where is the interest rate? Where are the terms? Is it 60 months? 36 months? What?
Never, ever make the mistake of dealing with this dealership. All I wanted was them to pull their inquiry back from my credit report and to take their name out of my credit history and apologize. But this dealership is to proud to admit their mistake.
Never go through what I have gone through. Turn the other way and never come here. Believe what I say from my experience. My experience will save you the expense in time, money, sanity and convenience.
Beware of this dealership!
Cons: Pulls your SS number even if you pay in cash
