Rude Clerksand Stupid Return Policy 1/3/2009

This store has lots of things, but Michael's is cheaper, the people are far more friendly,and the Michael's return policy is better. I had a return for Joanns with a receipt. They were rude and wanted to give me a store credit because it was 43 days after the purchase. HELLO, we had a two week snow storm and no one in the City was driving anywhere. I had to cause a scene and ask to speak with a manager, who by the way was also a Queen B. They lost a customer, as I would rather shop without stress! more

Left Without a Smile 5/14/2006

I was sooo excited to have this store that everyone raved about right by my new home, but my experience left me not wanting to return. Okay, it was during a sale, to give it a little break, but it was a weekday afternoon, so I expected more. I had to wait in line for about 30 min. (not easy with a squirmy 2 yr. old), no one wanted/could help me, no one smiled, and they ended up being really rude to me when one of my items wasn't tagged - they have to run back and find the item, etc..So, you may have fun shopping - they do have lots of stuff, but just go prepared to entertain your child in line and buy from people who may be far from happy to work there! more

Super JoAnns! 4/20/2006

This is a "super" JoAnn's store, which basically means that it's newer and bigger than the regular JoAnn's stores. This particular store is only a couple of years old and is still clean, bright and well organized. They have a huge selection of novelties, including ribbon, buttons, ric rac, thread, etc. They also have lots of yarn - this is a great place to come if you want to try your hand at knitting those fancy scarves that are all the rage. You can get a kit with the 2 kinds of yarn, the pattern and the knitting needles for $9.95. more
