Sale signs 5/2/2007

I shopped at Jo Ann's in Dallas on Preston Road for Easter basket supplies. I carefully purchased a lot of sale items so I could make a nice full basket. When I got home, I noticed they did not give me the prices indicated on the signs. When I complained to the manager, she denied that the signs were even there. Why would I make up a sign? She would not give me the price on the sign, and so I returned the items I had not already put into baskets and given out, but lost about $100.00. (One item was large) more

Lovely 7/22/2005

The staff has always been very helpful and nice to customers. I went there for a school project and found more than I needed in the vast selection. I even got more ideas just looking through the isles at the various products. My only complaint is that it's not well merchandised for the quality of the products. It's a bit too misc. to find exactly what you want easily. PROS: nice stuff CONS: no merchandisers more

Yay for crafts! 6/9/2005

I love Jo Anns and they're my favorite place for crafts supplies. No matter where I am in the country, I never fail to shop Joanns - even online. The Emeryville Jo Anns has a fantastic selection of everything from fabric to basic crafts gear. I have never had problems shopping here. They have some great scrapbooking supplies and embelishments. more

Irregular products and service 6/7/2005

The main selling point of the Emeryville Jo-Anns is that it is across from Trader Joe's so you can pop in on a grocery run. Unfortunately, the wait is often so long that it would have been faster to go to another arts and crafts store in the long run. The layout is bizarre - half the store is barely organized fabric, and the other half is crowded with every other kind of craft and cake decorating supply wares you can think of. They are a fine place to get fabri, but lack the selection of Michael's or Beverly's for other supplies. PROS: cheap fabric CONS: disorganized more
