Owned by the Erie Zoo, JMC runs a pretty typical ice arena for a pretty typical price. They offer great open skates Friday nights, Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. Sunday's tend to be the more family times, with younger kids enjoying some ice time. All open skates have a learners area set aside for the beginner skater to learn how to stand and move! A nice 'hang out' for the teens, it always seems to stay far from rowdy and they do have a rent-a-cop there to help contain the kids a bit. The price is really reasonable and discounts apply to zoo members. Fun lights and music play as the kids can skate around and enjoy their friends.
A fire is usually burning to snuggle up to and get warm and there's always hot cocoa at the snack bar. Typical prices and foods are available.
Skate rentals are also available for those who don't have their own.
Birthday parties are always welcome and are really a fun way to enjoy your child's day!
