I've been going to Ji's Art studio for awhile now to work on my art portfolio. I applied to Otis college of Art and Design, Parsons the New School for Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and FIT as a fashion major. I only had 7 months to work on my art portfolio because it was a last minute decision and with the help of my art teacher, Ji, I got into all the schools I applied to. The teacher has many good talents such as unique ideas, risking and playing around with your art work and style, using alot of different mediums and techniques. Best of all, she can really build up a student's confidence because without confidence, art students cannot portray their best quality onto their art work. Her knowledge is very broad which is really helpful when you don't have know what to do and or how to do something. She can definitely build a strong foundation for art students. Besides her abilities to teach, she is funny and an easy going teacher. You can always communicate with her your ideas and thoughts and in return, she'll give you guidance and her thoughts to make a piece better. There is definitely no pressure while talking to her. I'm very lucky to have her as my art teacher and I've learned alot her when I was working on my art portfolio. Even though I got accepted to the schools I applied to, I am continuing my classes with her so she can prepare me for art school in the fall.
Pros: Flexible, strengthens both art and confidence, strong foundation
