All my life, I've gone to Jim's at 62nd street. Recently returned after a long absence, and the food is still terrific! The hoagies are a work of art, and the Cheesteaks are a Philly institution. This is the real Philly experience. No sit down eating space; in fact, to stand and eat at the rail thin counter is asking a lot at peak times. This is a take out joint. Go eat with the tourists at South St's version if you want pampering. Here all the effort is put into the grub, and it's superb!
Pros: Great portions, Superb quality, Attentive service
Cons: Crowded weekends, Crowded lunchtimes, Know what you want
