I would put this steakhouse up against the best in any city. Beef tips are my favorite with grilled onions and mushrooms. The onion rings are to die for. You have to get those for a starter. Freedom fries are best. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Just thinking about makes one to go there this week. I need a "Jim's Fix.!" Ron J. Nevada MO. more

The best steak in the four state area. 8/6/2005

Jim's Steakhouse in Pittsburg is by far the best steakhouse in the area. They are 20 some miles from Joplin, but worth the drive every time. You will have to wait, so it is best to get there early. The price is very good considering the quality of the steak that you will get. They also have very good onion rings and bread to start you off right. I recommend the sirloin tips. For $10 you will not get a better meal in the country that I know of! I have ate at some of the most expensive steak houses, and am still convinced that Jim's has them all beat. They are that good! more
