The amazing thing about this small shoe repair shop is that it even exits today. Jim is an old world craftsman with shoe polish on his hands and the store smell like leather. I have had purse handles repaired and he has done a very nice job for a very inexpensive price. There are no fixed prices - he sort of eyeballs your work to be done, then gives you a price. You can haggle, but it is usually low enough that you're happy with it. I will be sorry to see the demise of these small shops with actual craftsmen working in them.
