This is my go-to place for sushi in the Inner Sunset. It's been open for a couple years and the proprietor, Jimi, used to work at Ebisu. The items are really creative (ask for the live scallop), the fish is fresh and the portions are generous. It's a mystery to me as to why it's never super busy when I go. If you're looking to see and be seen, this isn't the place to go, but if you're just looking for a laid-back place to eat some good fish check out Jimisan.
Pros: great fish, great menu, friendly staff
Cons: not a hot spot, if you're into that sort of thing
