I travel all over Sac metropolitan area, Marysville/Yuba City, and Redding and have sampled each one I come across. I've been to over 10 of them, at least twice. Each one is slightly different how much meat goes into the regular taco.
There is 1 store that has been consistent each time I go, the taco meat covers nearly half the corn tortilla. They allow the taco and burritos to crisp. The amount of ingredients are consistent. Tacos, burritos and taco salad are excellent.
THIS IS THE BEST JIMBOYS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, bar none.
Most others will put a small scoop in the middle; that taco is so void of meat, I see it as embarrassing to the Jimboy quality and name sake. I give each resturant 2 chances, and there are only a few that I will go to now.
There are 2 Jimboys near my residence. After trying the newer one a couple of times, I will never go back til they put more ingrediants in their products.
I spoke with a HQ manager who was visiting the sites and was told how each Jimboys needs to present their food, only the one in GreenHaven seems to be following corporate policies. Kudos to you.
Customer service is about the same all over, polite.
A friend of mine seems to always have problems receiving the correct item. The latest was then he ordered:
A taco salad with no sour cream and an order of beans.
Instead he rec'd a taco salad with no beans in it AND no order of beans. What the local team did was instead of making a new taco salad, they gave him a small bit of beans in a container for the taco salad and his order of beans. I don't know the Jimboy policy, but he paid for the order of beans,.... Customer service and understanding was clearly lacking, he told me he would never go back,
