Excellent!! 6/2/2006

I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's always great (including the BBQ) and reasonably priced. Others have mentioned the cheese biscuits and I will too; they're great. I'm also a fan of their burgers and always get their pimento cheese on the burger which I had never thought of before the John T Burger. The John T isn't on the menu any longer, but you can still get the pimento cheese. My wife loves the Pig in the Garden Salad. I think that the variety of the menu makes Jim n Nicks much more than just a BBQ place. Keep up the good work Jim n Nicks!! more

Always Good 4/13/2006

I have been to Jim N Nick's several times and the food has always been very good. I have tried the chicken and the spare ribs. The side dishes are great and their fried green tomatos are the best I have had. more

Dont waste your time ordering the BBQ 1/18/2006

I have eaten at Jim and Nicks more than a dozen times, maybe even two dozen times. I have tried many things. The BBQ (pulled pork) is terrible. I have tried it 3 different times and have been disapointed each time. The ribs are nothing to boast about either. I have found thinga on the menu I truly enjoy. The brisket is worth eating more than once and the side items and cheese biscuits are to die for. I usually just get a veg. plate that consits of 4 side items of your choice and two biscuits. For this to be a ""BBQ place"" they really need lesson on how to cook BBQ. Pros: the sides, the biscuits, good service Cons: bad BBQ, too expensive more

Pretty Darn Good BBQ 9/7/2005

I am a BBQ snob and this place was a pleasant surprise. The Pulled Pork topped with coleslaw on toasted sourdough bread was delicious and the bbq beans were wonderful. A great lunch for just $7.50 including a drink and a side item. Next time I will definitely try the biscuits. Pros: BBQ Pork more

Nothing to get excited about 7/18/2005

Jim and Nick's offers generic BBQ that, while not bad, is certainly not worth going out of your way for in a city like Nashville. I had the spareribs. They were fair, neither good nor bad. My companion tried the pulled chicken sandwich and was very dissatisfied saying every bite comntained a big chunk of fat or gristle. I will say the sides were pretty good and I enjoyed the cheese biscuits. However, I don't go to a BBQ place for the fries. There are too many good BBQs in Nashville to waste your time at Jim and Nick's. more

Every menu item I have tried has been very good. The service is also very good. I have been with large crowds that have been nicely accomodated and no problem preparing individual tickets. Also, the drive through take out window is very efficient. more

Best barb-q around! 12/26/2004

If you are looking for great barbecue and a nice setting, go to Jim 'N Nicks! They have the best spareribs you could find anywhere! Their spinach dip is fantastic, and the cheese biscuits are worth the trip all on their own. One warning, however... They pile pickles on top of their ribs with no warning of this on the menu. If you don't like pickles, remember to order the ribs without, else the pickle juice ruins the flavor of the ribs. I've never ordered anything there that wasn't good!
