My boyfriend and I went in search of good BBQ and found it at Jim 'N Nicks. The experience started from the moment we parked in front of the log pile. The air was full with notes of Blues music and the mouth-watering aroma of smoking meat. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and sat immediately. Our waitress, Peggy, was the epitomy of amazing service. I wasn't sure which type of rib I wanted, so she brought me one of each style to try. They were both so incredible that I got a half-rack of each!! We were then served delicious sweet, cheesy cornbread muffins while waiting for our meals, which were delivered quickly. Again, Peggy brought us a sample of both types of gravy they serve so that we could try them out. The cream gravy was the best I have ever had and having grown up in the South that is saying something. My boyfriend enjoyed a Red Brick Blonde, which can be difficult to find despite the fact that it is an Atlanta brewing co. We finished up with a noteable slice of Pecan Pie. It was the ultimate BBQ experience and having lived in Texas for four years, that is saying something.
