My girlfriend and I had reservations at Cite in downtown Chicago for her birthday - it was surprise. It was also a surprise when we got there and they had closed without notifying us. We drove back to Evanston that night in a downpour. I can't remember how we found Jillly's but it was just chance that we walked in and sat down.
What a treat. It's one of our favorite restaurants now. The service is outstanding - it was quiet and not crowded, the food was amazing and the wait staff made the place comfortable and great.
We've been back once and are going again on Wednesday.
It looks like a tiny hole-in-the-wall from the outside but the food is delicious, the environment is intimate, and the service is unbeatable. Highly highly recommended.
