I have always had positive experiences at other Jiffy Lube locations, so when I needed an oil change in San Luis Obispo I went to Jiffy Lube. When I got there, a technician greeted me and escorted me to a waiting area like usual. The technician went over my options and gave me an estimate to sign. The quoted price was much more than I was used to paying at other Jiffy Lube locations. Usually I pay about $60, but they quoted me for about $95. I was overdue for an oil change so I decided to just pay the higher price. I realized later that the technician added a more expensive oil without asking me, but I foolishly signed the estimate anyway. \r

The technicians changed the oil and I paid them for their service. However, when I got back into my car the driver side window would not roll back up. It appeared that the window had somehow fallen off its track and was stuck inside the door. The manager on duty said that Jiffy Lube would pay for the damages, but I would have to return the next day and talk to the store manager. When I returned the next day and the store manager refused to pay for the damages.\r

I found out later that the issue with the window was not Jiffy Lube's fault at all. I had the window repaired before for the same problem and it was not fixed properly. However, I am extremely upset with how the situation was handled. None of the employees told me that there was an issue with the window. They just made a note of it on the invoice, which I overlooked when I paid for the oil change. I did not find out there was a problem until I got back into my car. Also, the store manager was condescending and did not offer me any sort of discount for the extra trouble I had to go through. He let me leave the situation unhappy, which is just bad customer service.\r

So if you want to pay for an overpriced oil change and bad customer service, then visit Jiffy Lube #1002. If not, then avoid this Jiffy Lube if possible.
Pros: Quality service
Cons: Bad customer service
