This restaurant is closed. I would recommend driving out to Wheaton or Silver Spring for dim sum. However, if you are just looking for restaurants around the lake, try Sushi Sono. Sushi Sono is an authentic Japanese restaurant, offering a variety of cooked dishes and fresh sushi. If you have never been there, they are actually offering 33% discount on select menu items during March 2009. I went here a few months ago and had Dim Sum (so delicious!) but i was just there over the weekend & the whole place was shut down and had ""Space Available"" billboards in the windows. more

Awesome service, awesome food! 9/6/2008

At first glance, this place doesn't seem to be of high standards. After sampling a few dishes and chatting with the bartender, I've found this place to be of incredibly good value. This is hands down one of the best chinese restaurants in the baltimore-dc area. more

Very poor service. We arrived at what appeared to be a almost empty restaurant to be seated at the rear near three large parties. It took over 40 minutes to get our appetizer. After waiting another 20 minutes for our dinner order we nailed the manager and asked for FOOD. We were never offered drinks, our water glasses were never filled and we of course had to wait to get a check. If they are understaffed and know they have large parties they should be willing to warn you there will be long delays. Sadly they will not see us again. more

Worst Customer Service in Columbia 10/24/2007

Most times, buffett selection is great; but customer service is a turn off. Came with a group of six; and were sitted at back of room even though restaurant was practically empty since we came early. We asked if we could get a table closer to the front; and we were surprised when we were rudely asked why? Manager seems so unfriendly. Pros: food, desserts Cons: customer service more

Worst customer service!! 10/13/2007

Went for dim sum on a Sunday. It took 15 minutes before the first cart reached us. The server failed to bring us chop sticks, or silverware as well as tea after repeated requests. We waited 30 minutes, after finally getting forks and finishing our food, for the check. Needless to say we left no tip. Pros: Unimaginable bad service. Cons: Great food. more

Just go for the Dim Sum 9/7/2007

First of all, you never go to a Chinese restaurant and expect good customer service. And Jesse Wong's Hong Kong is definitely not an exception to this rule. The staff and management here is horrendous. I can get better service at my local Denny's restaurant (and that's saying alot). Pros: Large variety of dim sum. Cons: The wait staff nor does the management care about you. Get 'em in, get 'em out is more their mentality. more

BAD SERVICE 6/17/2007

There was a table for us. We had 6 people and the table was 8 people, they wouldn't give it to us. and made us sit in a 4 people table and started complaining. Bad place to go to eat. Not recommended. Pros: Nothing. Cons: The employees and the Manager is EXTREMELY rude. the rudest anywhere more

Rudest manager, Anywhere! 7/28/2006

The manager was REALLY rude. When we told him that the carts were circling the outter loop but seldomly stopping for the inner tables, he flatly said we were lying. Then without an apology, or further explanation, he left the table and went back to the kitchen. Ridiculously expensive Dim Sum, with HUUUUGE attitude. The business won't last long. Don't even bother to dine there. You will be very disappointed. Pros: Should be out of business soon. Thank God! Cons: VERY rude manager and service with average food. more

Outstanding in Every Way!!! 1/21/2006

I threw a party for my husband's birthday for 180 people at this restaurant, and it was the best restaurant experience we ever had!!! The food is divine with innovative, exotic flavors infusing every dish, the service impeccable in EVERY way, the setting lovely and the design perfect for parties with ample space for dancing and a band. It just does NOT get any better than this!!! Jesse Wong's trio of restaurants including this one, Asean Bistro in Columbia and Jesse Wong's Kitchen at Hunt Valley Town Centre are all now our favorite restaurants on the planet, each having it's distinctive ambiance and cuisine. Pros: Extraordinary food, Impeccable service, Warm, atmosphere Cons: None! more

Grossly underestimated 7/5/2005

This is the downscale version of the wonderful Asean Bistro. Much larger, more informal, but with a more extensive menu that includes some of the Asean Bistro's classics. True, they had their difficulties in the start-up phase, but they have got the kniks worked out now and this place represents one ofthe best values for the money anywhere. It is stylish and kid friendly at the same time, and the food is very, very good, a fact that is attested to by the large number of the local Asian population that frequents this restaraunt. Bad Service 11/13/2004

After putting our name on the wait list, we were asked to wait in the bar area. After a while, I was told that a table was being prepared for us. All of a sudden, a new group came in and the management, without hesitation, gave them our table. No explanation was given and it just goes to show that the place is poorly managed. It doesn't deserve the public's patronage. more
