Jerry's Pizza

About a year ago, I ordered a pizza for carry out. When I got to Jerry's, the female behind the counter said ""we forgot to put your pizza in the oven"", so I waited the extra 30 minutes for them to bake it. Pros: When it's prepared properly, it is the best pizza on Earth. Cons: You order by phone, you might not get your pizza at all. Pizza quality varies. more

With out a doubt Jerrys has the best pizza in \r Chillicothe! It has that small time charm and none of that corporate pushyness. The best part is the prices are small time too! more

Jerry's Pizza has really good pizza and is reasonably priced.\r The pizza is so good that you can order a large and eat it all by yourself which isn't necessarily a good thing. more

Chillicothe has several institutions - the Cozy burger, the Sumburger and of course, Jerry's Pizza. Everytime I am in Chilli I stop by and pick up a couple of Jerry's Pizzas. One large is the perfect size for a person with a decent appetite. Unique taste - cuts into strips, best when eaten hot (in the bar). Old bar located in the shadow of Mead paper - good working class place - definitely a throwback place (however they have installed a big screen t.v. and modern day jukebox). I have heard the cheese is goat cheese and they use real lard in the crust. Best pizza I've ever had anywhere. more

This place has been around forever (1954, I think) and hasn't changed since I frequented it as a teenager growing up in SE Ohio. If you like the glommy, cheesy ""pizza hut style"" garbage that most Americans know as pizza you'll hate Jerrys. If you want to try something different, this is your place. Thin crust, light toppings and an out of the ordinary flavor (I think they are using Swiss cheese or something like that). This place is not hip in the least and my one complaint is that they only carry the watered down, lager style, macro brews (e.g., Bud, Miller, PBR) but if I'd suggest that maybe they should add a Sierra Nevada or something like that to the list they'd look at me like I was from Mars.. Having not lived in the area since I was 17 years old, I feel like an alien when I come back to visit but I guess that's the charm. The clientele at Jerry's is local and mostly elderly. I'm afraid that I'll pass through town some day and it will be closed because it's definitely an artifact of the 50's and 60's. Im not inpressed. Crust and with little bit of sauce and Hardly any cheese. Ask for extra cheese or you will be able to see the sauce straight through. Most everyone I know likes this pizza. But I dont and its MY rating. DJ Pros: Friendly, Relaxed Cons: Smoke filled, Loud, No Parking more
