Jenny's Alterations

I took my daugyhter prom dress here two weeks before prom. We bought it 1 size to big and wanted it altered to fit. When we picked it up 4 days before prom it was way to tight in the bodice and we asked her to let it out a bit so she could breathe. She said that would be fine and to pick it up on Friday. My daughter went to pick it up and she tried the dress on and came home. When I got home from work I had her try it on and the top strapless part that holds her breats had been taken out as well and now it was gaping on both sides!! My daughter said she tried on the dress with her bra on so it must of been tighter. We NEVER asked her to let out the top only the bodice under the breat where it was clearly to tight. IT was wrinkling!! Now prom is tomorrow and I have to have this fixed!! I am not happy with how this is turning out. How can it be to tight in one area and now to big in another? I fully intend on asking for my money back. This hasd been a nightmare!! more

I buy most of my clothes from online outlets to help stretch my pennies. Often items come that don't fit as well as I would like them to. I always take those particular pieces of clothing to Jenny's and for a very reasonable price, I come away with lovely, well-fitted clothes. I highly recommend Jenny's Alterations! The whole experience was so stressful and there was no need for it. I had made appt with Jenny but called to cancel when I found someone who could alter 7 bridesmaids dresses and my wedding dress for less. The savings was going to make a difference! Jenny asked what their price was and agreed to honor it. When we were there getting fitted she gave each girl a receipt for cost. She tried to charge $10 more per dress than what she agreed to then tried to charge me over $200 for my dress!! I took my dress elsewhere only to find that it needed NO ALTERATIONS!! Thank goodness their are some honest people left in the business!!! Then after having 4 of the dresses already, we tried to get a hold of her for a week straight leaving multiple messages so another girl could drop hers off. It was 2 weeks before the wedding and I could not get a hold of her! Finally, we drove across town to find a note on the door saying she would be out of town!!! CHANGE YOUR VOICEMAIL!! We should not have to drive across town to figure this out!! Finally, when my sister went to pick her dress up with her receipt, she again tried to charge her $9 more than what she said it was going to be!!! I feel like she was dishonest the whole time and would not recommend her business, the service was terrible! Pros: decent job on dresses Cons: Dishonest, poor attitude more
