Nestled around the corner from the uber-popular Aroma Cafe sits what has grown to be my favorite cafe. In Los Angeles, too often I've been greeted with big city skepticism and ""this-is-my-day-job, I'm-going-to-be-rich-and-famous"" customer service when seeking out my daily caffeine fix. Hailing from the Midwest, my heart yearned for the ""down home"" feel an attitude of a neighborhood haunt. The vibe at Jennifer's is convivial, welcoming, and warm. Whether you're one of the regulars sitting on the couches around the coffee table or writing your next screenplay on two-top near the European villa-inspired fountain, Jennifer's will serve a heaping helping of caffeine, tasty goodies, and sincere smiles.\r

Although I do love Aroma's baked goods and lunch fare, Jennifer's wins over my affections and taste buds when it comes to beverages. Whereas Aroma's coffee often suffers from a ""burnt"" taste, Jennifer's is always smooth, no matter which of the large variety of ""on tap"" brews you select. Their bulk coffee variety rivals any gourmet coffee store I have shopped. Finally, as a major consumer of tea, I love that they always more ""already-brewed"" teas available than Coffee Bean. \r

Certainly, I visit Jennifer's for the drinks, but I always stay because it feels like home.
Pros: Atmosphere, variety, taste
Cons: Limited food service menu
