Jenkins & Leblanc Dentistry For Children

We moved to Kansas this year and I was apprehensive about finding a new pediatric dentist for my 2 children (ages 3 & 7), because we loved our dentist so much at home. I will have to say this office (Overland Park) is top notch. Both of my children have had check ups and my son (who is extremely shy) had his 1st filling. Both visits were very easy. My son even said after his filling, that he thought it was fun :O. Every thing and everyone that we came in contact with from the waiting room back was very child friendly. My 3 year old and I were able to stay with my son throughout the entire process of him getting his tooth filled. They explained everything to him in a ""non-scary"" way and were very kind and patient (and I was a recovery room nurse for children for years). Five Stars!! more

We had a horrible experience with the Shawnee office after being constantly bumped from the Providence office. By constantly I mean roughly 6 times in 1 year. I took my daughter to a different dentist that couldn't find the two fillings that they supposedly did. We came to them after having a situation where my daughter was threatened (at 2 1/2 yro) that if she couldn't sit still they would make mommy leave, and what does Dr Robinson do, she threatens my child with me leaving, after working so hard for 2 years to get my daughter comfortable. They strong armed me into giving my daughter nitrous, even though it was unnecessary (in fact it made matters worse, because my daughter is claustrophobic :/ The other tipper was correct, there is no time to calm a child, or offer them reassurance when they need to get that cash cow that just came in the door more

This place is a factory. They have lots of toys like video games, televisions playing non-stop Disney movies an ice cream machine and an aquarium. This is all great for the kids, but because 2 dentists see 100 kids every hour, you have to wait 45 minutes or more before you are shown to the exam room. Then you wait another 45 minutes before the dentist comes in to do a drive by exam that lasts 2 minutes. Then you get a bill for x-rays or some other procedure or item not covered by insurance because they do them too often. more

We are a military family from Fort Leavenworth and had a bad experience at our local dentist. I needed to clean the slate for my three-year-old and decided to try Jenkins & LeBlanc. What was traumatizing six months earlier was a blast this time around...thanks to the staff at Jenkins & LeBlanc. It's a bit crowded at the north KCK location, but we were very happy with our appointment! more

With me having a fear of the dentist I wanted to make sure that my daughter didn't have that. Dr. Jill Jenkins is the best and the staff are awsome. She loves going to the dentist and she loves the ice cream after. more

I never thought my kids would actually get excited about going to the dentist. I have four boys, and before we went to Jenkins and Leblanc, we took them to another pediatric dentist close to where I work. When we decided to find a dentist closer to home, we got lots of good recommendations for Jenkins and LeBlanc. I actually researched them a bit as well and was impressed by the fact that they also specialized in children with special needs and had worked at Children's Mercy Hospital. I have a special needs child, so that caught my attention. So far, my three oldest boys have been to Dr. Jenkins several times. Every time I tell them they have an appt., they get excited. The office is very nice, clean and fun for kids. They have video games to play while they wait, a great fish aquarium and even coffee for the parents. Once in back, there are flatscreen t.v.'s on the ceiling so the kids can watch cartoons while they are getting their teeth done. Afterwards, the kids get tokens for what they call the ""goodie machine"", they get a balloon and bag of dentist goodies, AND they get ice cream before they leave. My oldest son has had several teeth extracted, which he was nervous about, but Dr. Jenkins did a great time of making him relaxed, so it was not a traumatic experience at all. My two year old has his first dentist appt. there next month, and I am sure he will be just as enthralled as his brothers! more

Dr. Jenkins has been such a blessing to us. My daughter now looks forward to going to the dentist. She used to be terrified because of a horrible experience she had with a dentist out of state when she was only about 5 or 6. Dr. Jenkins is so gentle and calm. Even on our first visit there, Faith was comfortable. Their offices are so child-friendly. The fish tanks are fabulous. There are video games in the waiting room, and there is a TV on the ceiling above every exam chair! The kids get prizes, and even ice cream after each visit - yes, soft-serve ice cream at the dentist's office! I am so thankful for Dr. Jenkins for her gentle ways with my children. She is always smiling and always gentle. I just wish I could go there for my cleanings! more

My daughter has seen Dr. LeBlanc for the past few years. The practice was recommended from our family dentist. We could not be more pleased. Everyone is so patient and incredibly kind. The entire office makes each visit a great experience for each child. We never feel rushed. She listens to each staff member and keeps improving her brushing and flossing at home. more

My oldest daughter attempted to go to our regular dentist and the hygentist was unable to get her to lay down in the chair so opening her mouth was completely out of the question. Dr. Jill at Jenkins and LeBlanc was recommended to me and from the moment we stepped into the office I knew it was the RIGHT choice for my kids. Since that time both of my girls have gone for regular visits... they get xrays, have their teeth cleaned and checked, lay down on the chair and have a great overall experience. Every time we drive even close to the office they ask when they get to go back! This office absolutely is the place to take your kids... they have a great experience and enjoy their visits each time! Jenkins and LeBlanc are the only dentists that my kids have ever been to!! My daughter is 9 and my son is 6. My son had to have a cavity filled and I have to admit I had some anxiety about it from my experiences as a child. When we left he actually said, ""That was FUN!"". They both LOVE going to the dentist because they make it such a cool, and relaxed experience. I especially love Dr. Jenkins and how she is so silly with my gigglebox daughter! Being a mother of 4 children under the age of 5 makes going places challenging. Luckily, Dr. Jenkins & Leblanc is not one of those places. My girls absolutely love going to the dentist! They love getting prizes at the end of their appointment and eating a little ice cream. I couldn't have asked for a better dentist or practice. Thank you! more

My kids love going to the dentist! As an adult, I'm thinking they should have a place like this for us also =) From teeth cleaning to more extensive dental work our experience has been fantastic. Unfortunately, my child has had to have a tooth pulled and other work and she STILL wants to go to the dentist! SO glad we found Jenkins & LeBlanc!! Thanks, you guys are the best! more

I have 3 young boys that love to go to the dentist. It is rare to get my kids to sit still for longer than 2 minutes, but somehow the Jenkins and LeBlanc team work their magic to get everything done and with smiles to boot. more

My kids love going to the dentist...now! For several years my son had such a fear of going to the dentist. We tried several different offices with no success. Then a friend recommended Jenkins & LeBlanc. I am happy to say my son no longer has an issue when dentist appointments are mentioned =) From our very first visit to even now, every time we go the staff and Dr. Le Blanc make my kids visits very comfortable and pleasant. I have 3 kids 9 years old and under. We have been coming to see Dr. LeBlanc since my oldest was about 4. I have never had a bad experience with this dentist. The pediatric dentist we saw before forced my kids to complete exams. It got so bad that the whole waiting room could hear my oldest (who was 2 at the time) screaming! I was so relieved when I found Dr. LeBlanc. The whole office staff is incredible! They are so patient with the kids, and let them come to terms with the dentist in their time. My kids actually get excited when I tell them that we are going to the dentist! Of course, what my kids love are the movies, video games, toys and ice cream!! I love the staff, the convenient locations, and the fact that they get you in and out in a timely manner! I tell all my friends about how great this place is. I love it!! more

I have 4 children ages 8 and under and it was a very pleasant experience for them and me! The staff is patient and kind and really do a good job with even apprehensive kiddos. The video games, movies, and treats keep my kids entertained and engaged. They even get excited to go to the dentist. Great office! more
