I just took our rabbit to Dr. Demetriou for his first check-up. I was reluctant, because I've heard so many stories of vets trying to talk pet owners into expensive and unnecessary treatments. Dr. Demetriou was great! She was prompt, efficient, and gave me the info I needed with no hard sell. Overall, I very pleasant experience! more

I have to be one of Dr. Jeffrey's oldest clients- since way before he had an office! I've always received wonderful care for my array of pets (including birds), and a dizzying assortment of ailments they?ve happily provided (what good vet doesn?t want a challenge every now and again?). They've always taken the first few minutes of the visit to get to know the animal, & they explain things TO you rather than DOWN to or OVER you. They'll work with you on payment plans if you?re an established client. One thing I find particularly noteworthy (and is becoming harder & harder to find) is that they aren't afraid to say 'I don't know, but I'll find out'. This group of people genuinely care about their work, and it shows. And I will always be thankful to Dr. Demetriou for the extraordinary care she showed both me and several of my birds -she definitely gets 2 talons up!. more

I have been taking my two dogs to this location since I have owned them as puppies. All of the vets and techs are wonderful with pets and they will meet petmeds prices if you just ask. They do seem to push blood tests for heartworm but since i give my dogs their meds on a year round basis and never miss a date they do give the option of signing off on the tests and still give you the medication. My dogs are never hesitant about entering the office and I like all of the staff. A bit pricey but I have never had a complaint about them and it is very easy to get an appointment. they always call to check on a sick pet or one that has had surgery to make sure they are doing ok. We have been taking our dog here for 3 years. Great vets and techs. \r \r Be a bit cautions about recommended visit frequency and vaccines etc. They have recently begun suggesting biyearly visits and vaccines such as bordetella even though our dog is never kenneled. I?m sure this is partially an effort to improve animal care, but I worry profit is also a consideration- they are a business after all. Just make sure their suggestions agree with published recommendations and your pocketbook.\r \r They are not overly pushy about these new practices and the care is still excellent so they still have my business and my recommendation. more

The staff at the Jeffrey Animal Hospital is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They are especially good at sending out reminder notices and calling to follow up with your pet to make sure it is getting the care it needs. \r \r They were patient and kind with my dog that is difficult to deal with. He has a stranger anxiety, but the staff knew how to handle him effectively. PROS: Good with 'touchy' pets. CONS: more

I find them to be very reasonably priced with payment plans available. They are very knowlegable, take time to explain things to you in terms you can understand. I've taken all my pets to them and will continue to do so. They also do a follow up phone call to check on your pet which I thought was really nice. more
