Jazzz Factory

The Jazz Factory is one of the most unique restaurants in Huntsville, which seems to be filled with chain restaurants and not much else. Their specials have always been consistently good, and I'm a huge fan of their salads. The music is great, especially upstairs, and their bar is top notch. It's a great party atmosphere, but it's so popular that it can take forever to get in. more

The Jazz Factory is one of the few really ritzy restaurants for a night on the town in Huntsville. Unless you have a big budget, this is for special occasions only, as a meal without alcohol will run you around $50 or more. But the food is about as gourmet as Huntsville gets, and you will not be disappointed in the quality. The live entertainment is fabulous, and you can even get up and dance if you like. It is upscale and dressy, and probably not kid friendly in general, definitely not at night. I believe it is reservation only, so you should call before you go. I went for my birthday last year and they did a song in my honor, and served me a really excellent dessert gratis. Truly one of Huntsville's fine dining experiences. more

The food at the Jazz Factory is pretty good. It's a bit too pricey, but it's good food nonetheless. However, for ambience and vibe, the place can't be beat! It's in an old converted downtown building with high ceilings and high-backed comfy booths. It's a real throwback to the thirties and forties. Upstairs is a great cigar bar with pool tables and regular entertainment. Check out Dave McConnell if you can. He covers Frank Sinatra songs and is fantastic!! more
