Jazz & More 3/22/2006

They feature jazz cds, records, books and even postcatds featuring jazz greats. What pleasently surprised me was how many blues cds cds they had. One of the best selection of blues I have seen at any record store around. I have not caught any of their in-store performances yet but hope to in the near future. The clerks could have been a little friendlier, but big surprise record store clerks that were anti-social(lol). When they are not I am happily surprise. They also don't always have to be friendly, just show some personality or interest in their job. Aren't they working with the public? more

Best store for recorded jazz 12/24/2005

Bob Delmark started this store years ago and still presides over its daily operation. He also started Delmark records which has recorded a lot of great local jazz and blues talent. This is the place to find that elusive jazz lp, tape, CD. or DVD you have been looking for. They are constantly buying odd inventories so it is worth checking back if you don't find it the first time. Institutions like this run by a passionate owner who is often on the spot are getting rarer by the day. They deserve your support. But don't go here to be charitable! Find that groove you love here! Buy some Jazz! 8/19/2005

If you love jazz like I do, this is one place you should make sure to go to if you haven’t yet. Their collection of cds, lps, and cassettes are second to none. If you’re lucky or plan ahead they also have in-store performances. It’s hard to go there just once, since they constantly update their inventory. So, head on down, you won’t be disappointed. more
