Great Thai food 12/13/2008

I love Jasmine Thai restaurant in Brandon. The decor is beautiful and the food is nicely prepared and beautifully presented with a small orchid on the side. I've tried all the curries with a coconut sauce and they are delicious and different. There is a good balance of meat to vegetables. Save room for the homemade ice creams which even includes a Green Tea flavor. Lunch specials are very reasonable and come with soup and a spring roll. Pros: Lots of parking in a shopping center more

Don't let the shabby storefront fool you 3/16/2007

This is a beautiful resturaunt with a family-owned feel. The food is very good and reasonably priced $8-17 for dinner entrees, with plenty to choose from and awesome eggrolls. The hot jasmine tea was excellent and the $5.95 special on lettuce wraps was a good start to our meal. The best attribute had to be the atmosphere though. It was quiet and very nicely decorated with carved scenes in the tabletops and fresh orchids. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend it. Good: Standard thai fare, slightly larger menu than normal. Drink selection normal with typical teas and decent beer selection (no taps, bottles only). Appetizer and entrees menus normal and diverse enough. Selection of entrees by sauce as opposed to ingrediant a nice touch. Noodle dishes have good selection of noodle types. Value was ok, $40 for two with drinks, soups and entrees. Pros: Slightly larger menu than expected; authentic decor Cons: Slow service more
