Sage Farm is one of the oldest Japanese establishments in town. Originally located in Japan town next to the buddhist temple, it relocated with the Salt Palace Expansion years ago. Recently the ownership of the original family sold to a Japanese lady from Okinawa. The prices have become a bit more competitive w/ the asian food store on 7th east. But the best part of the store is the introduction of bento boxes, donburi (ricebowl), and sushi pack lunches. Although not as good as my mom's, the $6 bento beats fast food anyday. Another Japanese coworker and I eat here at least once a week. (he's actually there almost everyday) Support a local mom & pop shop and get a great lunch while your there.
