Our favorite place to go after class! 5/14/2006

It happens again. Jess and I hop in the car after class and say, "Let's get some food! What do you want?" After looking at the dashboard for a minute we both decide, Japan Express! This place is great. The food is delicious, the sauces are delicious, it's clean, reasonably priced, fast and convenient to campus. I when it comes to the chicken, I know I prefer the hibachi to the teriyaki. And as I mentioned, the sauces are divine. I'm pretty sure I can just go there and eat the ginger and white sauces, and leave happy! more

Awesome and cheap! 4/16/2006

This is one of my favorite places to go for a quick meal. I agree in saying that it's like a Japanese steakhouse, but quicker and cheaper. They have a pretty good menu, although not as extensive as the real thing. The restaurant itself is very clean and bright (there are a lot of windows). It's also pretty convenient, being near University Mall and whole foods. more

Japanese steakhouse only quicker 6/15/2005

If you love japanese steakhouses, but don't have time for the whole experience, you'll love Japan Express. They offer a smaller menu of similar dishes you'd find in a steakhouse. You can get teriyaki or hibachi style. The prices are cheap and you get tons of great tasting food. They have all their sauces on a counter, so if you love a particular one, you can get as much as you'd like. It's a great value for your money. more

Japan Express--Japanese steakhouse on the go! 5/17/2005

The food at Japan Express is like that you would get from a Japanese Steakhouse, just without the chef's entertainment. The food is very good, and the prices are more than reasonable especially compared to your typical steakhouse bill. This is a pay and pick up at the counter establishment. Service is good and food is always ready very quickly. The sit-in area is a decent size and the atmosphere is simple but nice. We recommnend Japan Express when in the mood for steakhouse food,but not the prices or the time involved. more
