Toyota Supra Long Block / Not Good 5/14/2011

I ordered a Toyota Supra Long block from JIS for my 1987 Supra. The gasket set was imcomplete and of poor quality. One of the front threads on the block was stripped and I had to replace with a helicoil. After less than a year the head gasket blew. I removed the engine and rebuilt it. During the rebuild I found that the pistons were not new like they said when I bought it. I called them and they confirmed they didn't put in new pistons but didn't provide any credit. Next time I will use a machine shop I know and purchase the parts myself. JIS gaskets are bad and they aren't honest. more

What a rip off. 12/16/2005

We had a Subaru Justy that the motor died on. We called around and got some quotes and this place was the cheapest and closest to us. They not only took two weeks to finish the car but when I went in to see it it wasn’t even the same type engine. They had put a four cylinder engine in it instead of the three that it was built with. They also tried to charge me twice what they had originally quoted. I will never take anything to them ever again. more
