Janete's Hair Studio

Janete's is wonderful! We have three generations going to Janete's for haircuts and blowouts. My mother lives in Queens, but my daughter and I drive in from Commack, Long Island. We are so happy with the results that we are more than happy to make the trip. Janete always takes her time and we have never been disappointed with the results. I first went to her when I was looking to completely change my hairstyle from long hair to a short/medium style. I received so many compliments on my new look that I knew I had found the right place! My 6-year old daughter loves to get her hair cut and styled at Janete's, too. The staff makes her feel like a princess and she has a wonderful time. Her hair always looks great. I am always impressed with the staff, as well. The receptionist, Christina, is a sweetheart and the other stylists are always friendly and professional. Janete's prices are very reasonable - you would certainly pay much more for the same attention at a Manhattan salon. I highly recommend Janete's Hair Studio! :) more

I have been looking for that perfect salon for years. I get bored quickly of hairstylists until I found Janete's. I have been a client for over two years now and would never go anywhere else. It is hard for me to trust anyone with my hair and when I walked in to the salon the environment was happy and professional. The service was great. The stylist knew what they were doing because I saw the face expressions on the people when they left. Janete the owner made me feel very comfortable and she sure knew what she was doing and also the receptionist was a bubbly and happy person. They are just the best. And those who are complaining about the prices they need to look at the out come its totally worth it and it is NOT expensive at all for the great results you are receiving. I've been a client of Janete's for the past 11 years and have lost track of how many compliments I have gotten on my hair. From past experiences with hair salons in Astoria, I have found that Janete is one of the few hairstylist that know how to manage and control my type of hair ,curly. She has a sense of style and has always exceeded my expectations with my haircut and color. I trust her so much that I always tell her to cut and color it however she feels like it . Janete's Hair Studio is responsible for some amazing, beautiful and unique styles. All staff members are very professional and the salon offers a very welcoming atmosphere.
