Everyone kept telling me that once I hit 50 years old, my body would simply go down hill. I have to admit that their predictions seemed to play out in the aches and pains I got from doing simple things like gardening or carrying the groceries in from the car. I mean, it's not like I was trying to be a weekend warrior! Anyway, I'd pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I would never be pain-free again, but then just a few days after my 56th birthday, my low back started hurting so bad that I found it hard to get up and move around. The pain went down the back of both my legs and into my knees! That's when a friend of mine (who didn't subscribe to age-related predictions) told me about Dr. Jamie Phillips. My friend, who is several years older than me, said that she'd been going to Dr. Phillips for several years and was feeling better than she'd felt in 20 years! That sounded almost "miraculous" to me, so I made an appointment to see Dr. Phillips.
Dr. Phillips told me that I had sciatica and that she could not only help me to get rid of the terrible pain I was experiencing, but that she could teach me some sciatica stretches that would keep the problem from returning. She was right on both counts. I was literally out of pain after my first visit with her. And, since I've been doing the stretches she taught me, I haven't had another recurrence of sciatic pain. She is a "miracle worker" after all! Oh, and by the way, I still see Dr. Phillips regularly because, like my friend said, I'm feeling better with chiropractic treatment than I have in 20 years!
Pros: experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and got me out of pain
Cons: none that I can think of
