What should be a simple matter to solve has turned into a potential court suit, BBB complaint, IDFPR complaint etc.
Basically after not filing personal returns for three years after a very ugly divorce (thanks to another review for a lawyer here), I entered into a verbal contract for their preparation. Considering the complexity, I made it very clear that I want and need to be present for all preparation to make the process as smooth and painless as possible by supplying, or gathering promptly, all information needed that may be missing.
First return, no prob. Second return, the firm did the work without me being there and while I was loosing my engineering position. No problem right? Big problem.
Today, the firm will not release my fully paid for 1st return, any of my tax information (which is required by law) and has broken off all communication until I pay for that second return, done in my absence and against my direction.
The IDFPR can’t touch them as he’s apparently not licensed in the State of Illinois and therefore not under their regulatory powers.
The Kane States Attorney is busy throwing me in jail for having been married faithfully for 18 years to a narcissistic wife, because now she’s upset that I’m re-married to a 35 year old, who is pregnant with out first and we’re happier than hell about it. Let’s just say that’s a complicated issue and the ex has pull in curious places.
That brings it down to a civil law suit that I am soon to file, for damages and to obtain a police enforceable court order to release those documents.
My Making Homes Affordable Program mortgage company, the IRS and a multitude of other organizations are waiting for my returns.
“Sorry, Mr. Borello has them”
