James Island Pediatrics

I have been bringing my daughter Emily, who is 7 years old since 2008. Since then I have had opportunities to try other pediatricians in the area, when my 2nd daughter was born in 2013. I opted to stick with Dr. Hutton and her staff because of the history & rapport I already have with them. I am realize that was a wise choice. Anytime I call they always find a way to get my daughters on schedule for that day. Sometimes, I find myself telling them its not that urgent, if they don't have a fever or are not in pain, because they always try to offer the soonest available appointment. They treat my children like family. Every time I call the situation is treated with urgency, dignity, respect & professionalism. I know that Dr. Hutton and her team with Karen, Maggie & Alisha are giving my family their very bet every time which is why I continue to choose James Island Pediatrics. Dr. Hutton is a superb doctor. Other than that, the hours are bad and the receptionist is obnoxious and quite rude. I called the office one morning, as my child is lying in my arms with a 105 fever , and she was telling me that the first available time Dr. Hutton could see him was three hours from then. I explained my child's high fever once again, this time giving the exact 105 temperature reading. With her rude behavior and ATTITUDE (not sympathy) she acted as though I were an idiot and hadn't brought him in sooner. I really shouldn't have to deal with a pediatrician's office like this and neither should you!!! Being a parent with a sick child is stressful enough. Why not select a pediatrician who has a great team? One that is supportive and nice...a place where you and your child feel at home? more
