I wish I had thought about looking on here and seeing the negative review before my appointment on 2/15/2010! This place is fake. They try to sell you everything under the sun to save a cracked tooth that is hurting you. You are hurting and not thinking straight, so to get a tooth pulled cost me almost $350.00! To late for me but hopefully someone else will be saved some money. Do not use this place. They are as nice as can be but they are rip offs! UPDATE 2/21/2010 I had to go to an emergency dentist today to have post surgical complications treated! It costs $455.00. Come to find out Dr. Jaime drilled out bone to extract my tooth. The emergency dentist Dr. Ivers at the Albuquerque Emergency Dental Care USA had to irrigate the socket due to pus building up. She also sutured it cause after all that bone being drilled away the gum was just flapping! Please beware and DO NOT go to this dentist! Since so much bone was drilled away, I will have a hole in my gum when it finally does heal. Also I can not have an implant to replace that pulled tooth I can't cause Dr. Jaime drilled away the bone! UPDATE 4/7/2010 I have been seen twice more by Dr. Ivers and 7 weeks after the surgery this has not healed completely! Impressions have to wait another 5 weeks and see where I am in the healing process. SO once again I hope someone sees these reviews on Sierra Dental and ""Dr"" Lillian Jaime before they go there. $580.00 later I also hope I am paying for her GROSS NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE! Being new to the area (2009), we tried to find a decent dentist. Sierra Dental was recommended to us and it certainly appears to be a modern facility with polite employees. But beware! My son was examined by one of the hygenist and had a cleaning. We were told he had 3 cavities and they needed to be done right away. We had a follow up call at 6 pm at night to say the worst cavity had almost eaten through the enamel and we should get in now. There were errors regarding the biling and other issues. We decided to try Dr. Giombolini who came highly recommended by coworkers. He is not only a dentist but also does orthodontics as well. We went in for a free exam and 2 free bite wings for new patients. He looked at the xrays and referred to the ""plan"" Sierra Dental had given to us. There was no evidence of tooth decay - nothing that would need work. What! It was more than $500 for the work Sierra Dental wanted to perform when there isn't anything wrong with my sons teeth!! We are now clients of Dr. Giombolini (who really is an amazing dentist). My son has braces and we are very happy with the care received to date. DO NOT GO TO SIERRA UNLESS YOU ENJOY UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES! Pros: Looks too good to be true Cons: GET A 2nd OPINION From another dentist! more
