My mother recently moved to the Berkshires, so my boyfriend and I decided to take her out in her new area to celebrate. We live in NYC, so it was a bit of a task to find restaurants online; we're used to sites that list every restaurant around, complete with menu and pictures. Spice looked like it would be worth a try, so we made reservations and went. At first we felt a bit weird. The decor is very modern, but the place was filled with older couples and families. Clearly city folk on vacation. When the food and drinks started coming, it was clear why they come to Spice: the quality of the food and service was on par with what you'd receive at a nice NYC establishment, if not better. We ate here last August, and I can still remember that my mom's filet melted in my mouth wonderfully. It was superb. It was such a pleasure to eat there, from the service, cocktails, specials to the desserts, and I can't wait to go back. I'm really quite surprised that no one has reviewed this place yet.
Pros: Delicious food, trendy atmosphere but not arrogant
Cons: Pricey, but you do get what you pay for
