Wonderful Chinese restaurant 1/27/2009

This is a very nice restaurant particularly for the reasonable price that you pay to have excellent food and great ambience - where else can you find tender filet mignon for $16 and Thai spicy shrimp for $15 in 2009. There is a full bar ready for any drinks or cocktails of your desire served to you by their friendly staff all at prices never seen at any national restaurant chains. Worth the trip 10/25/2007

Excellent food, good service, a nice place to relax and go for dinner and especially lunch with family, friends or on a date. Don't forget to order the fried rice. Best I've ever tasted. more

Relaxing Lunch 7/14/2007

Whenever I get a chance, I come here for lunch with my girlfriends. It's never crowded at lunch time and I'm quite surprised given the fact that the food and service is outstanding. That's good for us because there isn't a rush to get us out and we can relax. Like a previous reviewer, I think that The Salt and Pepper Jumbo Shrimp is out of this world as well as the Crispy Beef. Don't forget to order fried rice which is made with fresh rice. Don't be afraid to tell the chef how you like your dishes prepared. Chef is very accommodating and willing to please. more

Lunch deals are an excellent bargain; not crowded for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday 10/27/2006

I've been overseas for the past few years. There's no place like home. Two thing I sorely missed: Mom's home cooking and Chinese cuisine served by Jade. Mom's cooking is still the best, but Jade is a close second. Since I left, Jade has added new menu items like pad thai and teriyaki which are delicious like all the Chinese dishes prepared by Jade. It may be a little more expensive compared to the Chinese restaurants in Flushing but the quality of the food is well worth the extra money. more

Great chinese meal 3/9/2006

This is my favorite chinese restaurant on Long Island. The food is always fabulous and fresh. Portions are generous. Try the Salt & Pepper Jumbo Shrimp and the Filet Mignon with Vegetables. Sure winners. Don't forget to order the fried rice which is a real treat. They always use fresh rice, not that day old dried out rice that is the standard practice of other chinese restaurants. I like to order the Young Chow fried rice. Pros: Good value, Good parking, Excellent service more

I must admit, this is really a great place to dine on Long Island. I usually stop here for drinks and appetizers with friends after work, but always end up staying for or taking home dinner. The food is irresistable, especially the weekly specials. The bar is stocked with a wide variety of beers, wines and liquors to satisfy everyone's taste. The Mai Tai drink seems to be a favorite among the patrons. more

The spring rolls here are to die for. I am a picky eater and a pretty good cook myself. yet I cannot spring rolls like they do. I always go for quality in food and then quantity, Jade Palace has it all! more

A Gem on the Island 3/7/2005

What a discovery I made on a rainy day in February 05. This place is definitely a ""AAA"" rating in my books. The tasty food, friendly service, and the full-service bar are on top of my list; and I have been to many places around the World to know the difference. The owner keeps this place clean, relaxing, surrounding customers with friendly staff, and at the same time able to keep the price low for this area. Best ""bang-for-the-buck"" on the Island...go check it out. more

Best Chinese food on the Island. I drive all the way from New Jersey once a month to indulge in this authentic cuisine. The service is great and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. I would recommend this place to everyone! more

The best restaurant on Long Island I have been too - rivals the best restaurants in Chinatown and Flushing - great food, large portions, and excellent value. The setting is nice and relaxation, sevice is excellent so I could really enjoy the food. Perhaps best of all, I don't have to make the long journey to Chinatown or Flushing when I crave good Chinese food - don't have to deal with parking in Chinatown either. I am a happy and loyal customer for life! more

Hidden treasure on Long Island 1/27/2005

I use to drive to Manhattan or Flushing Chinatowns to get decent chinese food. It was a hassle finding parking and it was overcrowded. Then, I stumbled on this gem. Plenty of parking, excellent food and service. Food is always fresh and delicious. Unlike other chinese restaurants, this one has a fully stocked bar, top shelf liquor, beer and wine. For me, I always get the Mai Tai. It's always a truly relaxing, pleasurable dining experience. Pros: Excellent parking, Great food, Great service more

HOOAH! 12/21/2004

This is not your typical chinese restaurant. The owner is a retired Lt. Col., formerly the commanding officer of the ""The Fighting 69th"". His son is attending West Point and his daughter is at the Air Force Academy. The restaurant is adorned with military and patriotic mementos. Truly inspirational. I treat myself by going to lunch here at least twice a week. I usually dine in but sometimes I order to take out and bring to the office. Either way, the food is delicious and satisfying. Never disappointed. Better value and healthier than going for fast food. Pros: Great value, Quality food more

Excellent quality food at a great value. I usually go for dinner on Tuesdays or Wednesdays when it is less crowded. Try their special house drink, the Mai Tai. They usually have 2 special dishes of the week. I usually order one and sometimes both of them. Never disappointed with any of the specials. Pros: Great food, value, good parking more

Great dining experience. Service is professional and courteous. Ambiance is nice. However, it's the food that is the main attraction here. Delicious, abundant and reasonably priced.
